Yeah, I heard about this too. The chemist in me is curious as to how exactly they were going to pull this off... But the rest of me is just glad they waited until after we got back from Otakon to pull this crap.

I don't get why people are worried if people flying won't be safe right now, especially if they're only flying within the US.

These were home-grown British terrorists. The British police handled the situation. They didn't plan to attack the US, the plane was going to be blown up over the ocean. No one was hurt, no matter how close a call it was.

Yes, it's scary, but the only thing we'll be effected with because of this is amped up security measures in the form of what we can take on the plane with us.

Everyone flying will be as safe as they ever were.

You know what's funny? The security getting into Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell was tighter than airport security checks (before this thing).

Yeah, it would've been a hassle. I heard the Philly airport was backed up like 3-5 hours for security. Yargh.

The wife of one of them posted on a message board aimed at Canadian Muslim girls that good Muslims shouldn't vote in Canada: We have separation of church and state, and we'd need to get rid of that and make the state religion radical Islam. Otherwise, Canada's democracy is "unIslamic". They honestly believe Canada should be an Islamic theocracy.
