I wrote until my pen ran out of ink. Ow, my hand hurts.
I'm halfway through the final scene of AAO12, with two pages left in my notebook. Hopefully it will fit. Gotta wait until I have a chance to run to Target for some ink refills, though. xD
I did stop at a store on the way home from work, and bought a new notebook for the remaining chapters. ^^

Date: Jul. 17th, 2006 03:55 pm (UTC)I find that the forced slow pace of handwriting helps me write better sentences - by the time I get to the words I'm thinking, I've figured out the best way to phrase them. Plus, typing up the chapter is a perfect opportunity for a little revising, and the handwritten copy is a handy backup if a file gets corrupted.
I only do this with my big multi-chapter fics, though. One-shots and fics of only a few chapters I generally type right away without handwriting first.
