I could not fall asleep for anything last night. It sucked. I went to bed later than I should have as it was, only to be stuck awake for a couple more hours. So now I'm really tired. x_x

Plus my heart's being obnoxious again, and it's getting really annoying. I tried not having any caffeine for a while and that didn't help, so that's not the problem. GRR. Plus the cold I had, while it wasn't as bad as the ones I usually get, is lingering oddly. Nrgh.

At least I got another page of AAO written over lunch today, so that's happy...

And it's really annoying when your team is already shorthanded and when a coworker comes back from lunch she spends half an hour chatting with someone in another area, during which you have to do all the work by yourself.

Well, at least you are making progress on AAO.

As for the heart issue...don't be afraid to see another doctor. I had a sorority sister (whom, admittedly, I do not know well) who knew something was wrong but had to go to several doctors before she was correctly diagnoised with breast cancer. Sometimes the first doctor misses the issue. You might also want to keep a journal noting when you had these issues with your heart: what you ate that day, what you did, how you felt (emotionally). All of that can be useful info for medical professionals.

And I'm off the soapbox for the day.

I saw a doctor last month and she didn't find anything wrong, but if this is still going on next month, I'm going back.

Here's the thing about that though. They told my dad the same thing three times before they gave him a diagnosis. Nevermind that he couldn't walk up the stairs without panting and nevermind that his heart was going insane from just lying down and doing nothing. And even now that he has a diagnosis, the first cardiologist basically told him to live with it. Because living with chest pains, shortness of breath, and an erratic heart rate is doable. Except not.

Just don't be afraid to be agressive and get second opinions. It's your heart, and it isn't something that you should dick around with. You're not imagining this pain, and just because one idiot doctor doesn't find it doesn't mean that there isn't something wrong.

Sorry if I seem pushy and whatnot, but this is a sensitive subject for me right now.

Heh, I agree with this. You wouldn't know how many doctors and how many YEARS it took me to finally figure out what was wrong with my ankle, why it didn't heal and why I kept re-injuring it. I had a million "possible" diagnoses before I got the right one (also most explanatory), and had that doctor tell me "you aren't worth the surgery to fix it, I only recommend it to athletes and people who really need to walk and run. Live with it."

And you'll see I wear an ankle brace whenever I leave the house now (half due to paranoia).

If it's bothering you, get your second opinion. Find another general practioner or go straight to a specialist. But do whatever best gives you peace of mind.
