I need to slow down.

Yesterday was the 12th, and as you know, that means Chad Darnell's 12 of 12.
I've been working nights again. Too bad the 12th didn't fall two days later this week, it would've been during Vacation Fun Time instead of Boring Work Time.

2:34 AM: Lunch. McDonald's is gross, I knew that, but I went there anyway for some crazy reason. These fries were really overdone and unappetizing. Ugh. If I hadn't forgotten it was the 12th until I was already out of the building without my camera, this could've been a picture of deer on the lawn instead, but nooooo. -_-

4:45 AM: Announcing the opening of the reinvented moonromance.net to the fandom at large. I worried about the reception, but I needn't have; everyone's reacted positively so far. :)

6:25 AM: Heading home. I like when it's overcast when I'm working nights, it makes it easier to fall asleep. When I got home, I found...

6:30 AM: ...the totoro and my plush dog watching TV, courtesy of my sister. L, of course, was being his usual antisocial self.

1:30 PM: Waking up, far earlier than I would have liked. I felt like crap. I've definitely come down with something. ;_; At this rate, though, it should be going away by the time I fly to Florida. What I really needed was sleep, but I couldn't have any more, thanks to my spa appointment.

3:40 PM: I was running late to my appointment because I am made of suck and fail and terminal lateness, so I didn't get a picture until afterwards, and then only from the car at a stoplight. You can't really see it, but the sign sticking out of the bricks is the entrance to the place. I was getting my thighs waxed in preparation for my trip. ;3 It was a really small place, just a few rooms, but the people were very skilled and friendly and the service was surprisingly cheap! I'm thinking about going back for a massage sometime. :)

3:55 PM: Some interesting graffiti I saw on the way home, in a really challenging location. I didn't see a ledge of any kind to stand on along that span.

5:00 PM: Heading out to go to work again. My new sandals! :D I'm wearing them for the second time tonight to break them in a bit before Florida. Compare to my sister's sandals, and my old Sketchers, which are in terrible shape and really need to be replaced. x_x

5:30 PM: Breakfast/dinner. I was bad and went to Culver's. I was hungry, but too feverish to find anything appetizing, so I didn't really care about eating healthy at that point. I'd totally worn my ill self out rushing to and from my spa appointment, and was pretty beat for the rest of the evening. :\

8:25 PM: It was rainy in the evening, too.

11:30 PM: The company fountain I missed getting a picture of last time the 12th fell on a night shift. I wanted the red, but when I looked at the pictures later, I liked the white too.

11:35 PM: I went with a healthier lunch. Why being on TV with Jared would be considered a valuable prize, I don't know.
After having something healthier to eat and taking some ibuprofen for my fever, I felt a lot better. :) Still, I'm looking forward to a full 8 hours of sleep.

Date: Aug. 14th, 2008 10:42 pm (UTC)BTW -- I work for Subway (I work at HQ. No sandwich making for me...lol) and I don't know why being on TV with Jared is such a great prize. But I will say that boy can sell some sandwiches. ;-)
