Well, for better or for worse, I decided to go for it.
Sailormoon Fandom Friending Meme
It was
fandomsecrets that put me over the edge. Someone submitted a secret that their Sailormoon vids were earning them fans, but no friends. In my experience, what tends to happen with fanstuff is, if you're good, you make friends with your fellow creators, but not so much your audience. As a fanfic writer, most of the friends I've made in Sailormoon fandom are fellow writers. I really felt for this person, because vidding isn't very big in SM, so it has to be hard to make friends in that field. Added to the other posts and comments and trends I've been seeing over the past couple of months, I decided to give the friending meme a try.
We'll see if anyone bites, in either sense of the term.
