I'm considering going to Dramacon Sakura-con in 2008 instead of Anime Boston. Who on my flist goes to that con? Or is in the area and therefore open to persuasion? :3

ETA: Before anyone asks why I'm reconsidering Boston...

Anime Boston's hotel for 2008 is on the other side of the mall, and I'm not a big fan of the thought of walking through a crowded mall in cosplay. Plus, the close hotel was a big piece of Boston's advantage over Otakon - it was a big con, but retained the conveniences of small cons. For example, I didn't have to carry my laptop with me all day before the Sailormoon panel, it was fast and easy to run back to the room and get it. Also, the AMV elitists at Boston are kind of freaking me out. Whatever con I go to, I want to enter the AMV contest, and I'm not sure I'm ready for Boston's.

I did have a lot of fun at Anime Boston, so if I pass on it in 2008, I'll be back in 2009. :)

Okay, that is freaky. I just titled my journal entry the same thing...but I'm listening to Emm's version of the Corrs song. That is just so strange that we pick the same line!

Maybe it's the "KILL IT WITH FIRE" kind of drama? In which case, I should be quite well equipped...

Huh. I must have missed out on all of that by hanging out in the various Video Game rooms (and absolutely kicking ass as Dr. Mario, which I had never before played in my life) and the Manga Reading Library (where people were so desperate to keep the volunteers running it there so the place could stay open, that they ran out and bought them teriyaki and energy drinks. It was pretty sweet; also where people dressed like Gundams stored their ridiculous costumes when they realized they couldn't even get into the bathrooms, let alone use them).

Oh well.

More like Most Annoying. She was seriously addicted to puzzle games for a while.

My mom is currently addicted to puzzle games, but it's all that online Bejeweled type stuff. I would dance a jig if she got into Dr. Mario (because then we could actually do stuff together that doesn't involve buying stuff and me feeling uncomfortable about my body image while she tries to find pants that I would ever willingly wear)

the best part was when Best Version Of This Costume At The Con! Mario showed up with his plush mushroom that played the SMB1 over-world theme. It was pretty sweet.
