Right on the wrong side of it all.
Feb. 4th, 2008 07:12 amWell, I'm back, after spending the past four days up north. My mom's been sick, so I slept at my friend's house the entire time, which was pretty crazy since she's currently staying at her mom's and they had some other guests as well. Crazy times. I had a good weekend, though. My friend's sister and her daughter were in town, so Saturday we took the kids to an arcade place in Canal Park. It was surprisingly fun there, I had expected it to be boring and overpriced but there was lots to do and it was all very affordable. The kids had a blast, and I got to play DDR, so I was happy. :3
And that's about it. I finally bought the Coldplay CD I'd been wanting, and a couple other CDs, and I just remembered I forgot to put away all the CDs I pulled out when I organized my car's CD holder last night, so they're all still loose in my backpack. ARGH and GRR. I stayed up too late playing FFVI, and I was stupid and tried to make it to the next town without saving, so I died and lost all the progress I had made. -_- I still got more sleep than I usually do before my first day shift, though, so I'm in good shape. That's especially good today, since I have my annual review here at work this afternoon. Usually I worry and it turns out to be no big deal, so I'm trying not to worry this time. :)
Plans this week are more FFVI and working on my AMV to-do list. Best Buy has a good deal on a laptop cooling fan, so I'm probably going to pick one of those up before I get started. Main goal this week on the programming front is creating a new shoutbox for .moon, because man oh man do I ever miss it, and I know I'm not the only one.
Oh, I'm also making some fantastic headway on my first original short story. ^^
