Time for some bento catchup! :D

These first few were actually made a couple of weeks ago, but I never got around to posting the pictures.

Rice with furikake on the bottom, chicken nuggets, steamed green beans and cheese on the top. I also packed some crackers for the cheese in a plastic baggie so they wouldn't go soft.

Onigiri and grapes on the top, chicken nuggets and corn on the bottom. It looks a mess, but onigiri have to go in the top, and the bottom isn't tall enough to put the chicken nuggets sideways like I usually do. -_-

Similar stuff, but arranged nicer. :)

This one had a ham and cheese croquette thing in the top. No chopsticks for that one, sadly. I made a similar one for my sister.

My sister's other bento. Ramen noodles in the bottom, chicken nuggets and corn in the top. I made one like this for myself as well.

After those, I had five days off from work, and then I took a couple of days off from bento-ing at the beginning of this week. Now here are the ones I made this evening, for my four-day stretch over the weekend.

Chicken nuggets and green beans again, plus some bite-size shrimp. Rice with furikake in the bottom.

Hash rounds, bite-size shrimp, and green beans in the top, mac & cheese in the bottom. I made two for my sister as well, similar to the above two.

Chicken nuggets, green beans, and shrimp. White rice on the bottom and wow does that ever look white. I think I'll bring a little bottle of soy sauce with this bento. A couple of peanut butter cups under the lid for dessert. :)

I'm still short a couple of bento boxes, so I have to wash them in the middle of a work run and refill them... but not for long, I ordered two new ones from jbox.com. >)

...I know it's weird to call food cute, but there is really no other way to describe those bento boxes.

do the boxes hold up well in the microwave? Or do you just eat it cold? since you had cheese and chicken nuggets in the same section, I can't figure it out.

Where did you learn to make Onigiri? I have been dying to have one for like years and haven't been able to find them or a recipe to make them anywhere! I know I could get some in Hawaii...but I'm probably not getting to Hawaii anytime soon.

So share how you did it. Please?

Did you see the really cute Totoro bento at Jbox?

I'm soooo tempted for Christmas.
