I think you know all of the rules.

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] wombat_socho. Looks like fun. Modified it a little since it wasn't put together well.

1. Grab the nearest book. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
That would be "The Prestige" by Christopher Priest, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sache. I also blame her for the $50+ worth of manga I also ended up carrying out of B&N with me. But that's another story.

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog.
The part of it in which I live is the wing where I grew up. [3] If there had been any preparations for the visit, Rosalie and I were not told what they were. The first we knew about it was when a car arrived at the main gate and Stimpson went down to let it in.

Wow, that was boring. Kinda like this book.

Manga? OOH! What kind?

Yeah, the book is... well, it's a good book, but it's certainly not an *exciting* book.

I tried to do this, and there were only four sentences on the page.

... I fail.

"Multitasking enables many people to run programs on the computer at the same time. Sophisticated networking protocols and applications make it possible for a Linux system to extend its capabilities to network users and computers around the world. The person assigned to manage all of this stuff is called the system administrator"

Linux Bible, 2005 Edition, Christopher Negus, Wiley Publishing, Inc.

Yep, I'm a geek.

I was (and still am) at home, working on a project for work. Mind you, it was because I'm reaching for the closest book to me as I'm sitting at the pasucomu. Computer book beside computer - makes sense.

Sigh. I'm such a geek.
