Neither now nor ever.
First of all, I really need someone to go to Avenue Q with me. My sister's not interested and this is not the kind of thing I want to see with my dad. Normally I'd just go alone, but this seems like the sort of show that would be a lot more fun with friends. Any interested locals on my flist?
I haven't been online much this week. I finally finished backreading on LJ, but I still have a lot of comments to reply to. @_@ I had the past three days off, but I mostly spent them lazing around and taping the Futurama marathon. ^^; I did go to my dad's Thursday for dinner and to exchange gifts, and he gave me the most awesome present ever:

So now it'll be obvious what I'm up to when I'm driving to cons. xD
One of my gifts to Dad was the new Futurama DVD movie, which I'm looking forward to borrowing. :3 I finally read the details on Futurama's comeback, though, and discovered the "new season" is just the new movies split into episodes, which I think is kind of a rip. Oh well. :\
Friday I had dinner with my aunts and one of my cousins, which was great. We don't see each other very often, even though we all live in the Twin Cities. At first it was just going to be me and one aunt, so I could see her new apartment and give her the final chapters of "Against All Odds," but then I had the idea to invite my cousin and her mom ended up joining us as well. It was good times, good food and good conversation. Then later I started work on a new main page and default theme for .moon, and made bento!
I'm back to the boring ones this time, since my attempt at new recipes last time around was Ultimate Fail. I'll definitely try the teriyaki chicken again sometime, but the other recipe was near-total disaster, and I'm going to have to throw out the chicken I almost burned down the place making for that since it's been in the fridge too long now. :\
Anyway... at least I got these made, and mostly in focus!

Macaroni and cheese on the bottom. Green beans, chicken nuggets, and baby carrots on top, with a little dill dip in one of the cute little containers
misscheeveeuss sent me. :D

Rice in the bottom with a little fish container of soy sauce. Green beans and cocktail wieners in the top. I'm being lazy this time and not preheating the wieners, they're pre-cooked anyway, so microwaving them is good enough. I did cut them so they'll curl up into octopi when heated. My sister did that when she made our last run of bentos and it worked just fine. In the little cups on the left are chocolate-covered raisins and trail mix.

Pear slices under the lid. Chicken nuggets, green beans and chocolate-covered raisins on the top layer. The bottom is half-and-half with the rice and mac & cheese I had left over after filling the other boxes.

Totoro bento :D I really love this bento box. It fits together much more securely than the dragonfly box, and the moveable divider in the top layer is surprisingly helpful. If anyone's considering this box, it's definitely worth the price.
Rice with furikake on the bottom. Pear pieces, cashews, chocolate-covered raisins, and a meat pie in the top, with a plastic pick under the lid for the fruit.

I'm still trying to figure out how to make the best use of the sakura box, with its different shape. Rice on the bottom, decorated with baby carrots. xD Half a peanut butter sandwich in the top and some pear slices. Now that I look at it, I probably could've left the pear in bigger pieces, but this was the last box I made and I was eager to finish so I could sleep. xP
I finally managed to make all five bento in advance! :D
And now, of course, my sister's insisting on taking me out to dinner tonight since she's been out of town all week and misses me. -_- So I'm going to end up giving my extra lunch to her... but which one do I let go? ;_;
