I think this happens to all of us. It has happened to me at every single life transition. And, while I did lose touch with some things and people I thought were important, the really important people and things never disappeared. And new things arrived to replace the stuff I'd lost or grown out of.

Hang in there. It will work out right the end.

i feel like that quite often. It seems to come along with developping new interests. and moving on to new stages of life. When I went to college and didn't have time for reading and writing, I felt disjointed, but now I have those things back, but I feel like something's been missing from my life since I finished college and moved away from the town I went to school in. I miss my friends, but it's hard when you're in a different country and on the other end of the continent... sigh.
